Grammar Point: Si 死 Really

Although Si 死 means "death" by itself, it can also mean "really" when it is preceded by an adjective. It has a more stronger meaning than Jing 真. So Ngang Si 冷死 is colder than Jing Ngang 真冷.

Adjective + Si

Examples:

Ho Si.
好死。
Really good.

Ngang Si.

冷死。
Really cold.

Betying Si.
白仁死。
Really stupid.

Ot Si.
难死。
Really difficult.
